Ali Martin Carrillo Filsoof is an integrated art director for vitro, an internationally recognized advertising agency. Ali is responsible for developing and managing integrated design and advertising campaigns for various clients.
Throughout his 10-year career, he's developed a simple and clean design aesthetic.
By stripping away unnecessary elements, his work allows the real brand truth to be showcased. This distinct style has become his trademark, along with an odd assortment of hats he occasionally wears.
Prior to joining vitro, Ali was an art director at DraftFCB in San Francisco and Warnaco in LA – where he repositioned the Speedo brand. Ali has worked with a wide variety of iconic brands including Michael Kors, Speedo, Asics, Levi Strauss, Serengeti Eyewear, Microsoft, Hilton Hotels and Newcastle Brown Ale.
In the design community, Ali serves as an active member of the AIGA and manages the fashion photography blog, calikartel.com. He also taught design at The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles.
Ali’s work has been published in Graphis, AIGA, Novum, Global Corporate Identity, LogoLounge, Best of Business Card Design, Lebook.com and the American Design Awards. His work was also exhibited internationally in Sao Paulo, Brasil at the Friends of Icograda Exhibit.
